She  said that in this study, we propose to include in the construction of recommendations also information obtained from the processing of visual content, for example - from product images. Visual information is stored in pixels of images. But the representation of the image as a pixel matrix is not the best representation of the characteristics of the image. Such values largely depend on the position of the object in the image, lighting, etc. The best way to represent an image is to use its "deep" characteris-tics, which can be obtained using neural networks. Thus, having vector representations of visual content, the system will be able to search for "potentially interesting" content for the user, based on his past prefer-ences or current interest. The study presents an approach to the construction of image classifiers for tag prediction, based on the conditions of a rather small marked training sample.

Friends, the terms; Data Science, and Data Analytics may be new to us, but, the art and science of data identification, generation, acquisition, classification, analysis, and applications has been as old as existence of human beings on earth. There have been distinct stages in historical perspective. (1) Prehistoric – data based on experiences in hunting, food gathering and fights, (2) Iron Age – data based on processing of minerals, natural products, health forecasting,  wars and so on, (3) Industrialization – wider spectrum including healthcare, astronomy, battles, food processing, computation technology etc. and (4) Artificial Intelligence, robotics, remote control systems, voice recognition, image processing, space science and technology, biotechnology, material sciences, warfare technologies, social sciences, economics and so on.

We have read about famous astrologers, mathematicians and philosophers like Rishi Parashar, Maharshi Ved Vyas, Arya Bhatta, Brahma Gupta, Sridhara, Nostradamus, Socrates, Aristotle, Plato, Confucius, Kun Kua, Sun Tzu, Hannah Arendt, Euclid, and many more from different societies of the world. They were instrumental in developing great skills in data gathering, analysis, forecasting, foretelling and offering life philosophy based on their data sourcing skills, and analytical or interpretational acumen.

The emerging canvas in Data Science and Data Analytics includes fascinating wonders like unveiling the origin of life, deeper space travel, weather manipulation, person and plant specific real time data, early warning systems, remote medication and so on. In contrary, the world may also witness upsurge of cyber crimes, terrorism, biological warfare, damage to the global eco-system, security threats to individuals and nation states etc. The challenges before the scientists, technologists, political leaders will therefore be to develop systems for best use in the interests of the humanity. The areas of monitoring and control for acquisition of large volume of data, its classification, sorting, analysis, and interpretation of results will be of high value. It should not be handled as “Black Box”, but as an objective oriented, logical, scientific and beneficial exercise. The major tasks will be to make best use of data/ information and evolve solutions for improving the quality of life on earth – mankind, animals, fishes, birds, plants and evolution of better sustainable societies.

There are 27 invited talks by persons of great eminence and about 60 research papers listed for presentations. The deliberations are poised for setting a landmark in the history of Data Science and Analytics We expect the researchers and societies would gain significantly from the valuable outcome of this Conference. We express thanks to Springer (India) for publishing  the Proceedings in Scopus indexed Series  Lecture Notes in Network and Systems.

I express my sincere appreciations to great efforts made by Prof. Pankaj Srivastava, General Secretary of FAI for designing and organizing this very interesting and useful International Conference. I am glad to place on records the sincere hard work of Prof. Nina Poyda-Nosyk, Prof. C. C. Tan, Prof.. Arceloni Neusa Volpato, Prof. Zinaida Zhyvko, Dr. Beatriz Lucia Bizotto, Dr. Gina B.
